Ken Madsen, Emerson Process Management Alliance Program Manager, will talk about the Program’s inner workings and how it helps reduce risk in system configuration. In addition, representatives from select program partners are scheduled to participate in the Q&A portion of the presentation.

Current Alliance Program partners include Adder, Gecma, Hatteland, Hirschmann, MTL, Mynah, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Stahl, Symmetricom and Turck.

“Integration of third-party products couldn’t be deeper than this,” Madsen said. After a rigorous selection process, Emerson engineers delve into as much operational detail as possible to make sure Alliance products work with DeltaV. “And should any problem arise, you have a direct Emerson contact with the responsibility to make it work,” he added.

The Alliance Program delivers operational assurance by selecting key products and submitting them to rigorous testing procedures. Products in the program receive full support from Emerson.

For a product or company to join the Alliance Program, it must demonstrate a market demand. Emerson leaders across the world evaluate the need, and those that qualify must pass rigorous technical and operational review. The winning products then undergo testing at Emerson. Only then do contract negotiations begin. High-level approval must be obtained before Alliance Program products reach the field.

Users purchase the products directly from the partner. Emerson and our Alliance Program partners stand behind the combined solutions offered around the DeltaV digital automation system. All warranty issues are handled directly with the Alliance partner.
